We encourage you to explore our website, read our reviews, and get to know who we are before you reach out. If we are the right fit, we would love to help your animal move better, feel better, and get back to doing what they love.

Dr. Kaitlyn Lackey
Dallas Animal Chiropractor
Dr. Katie grew up on horseback. She spent 13 years competing in hunt seat and later fell in love with classical dressage in college.
Three serious head injuries from riding left her struggling with daily headaches for years. Modern medicine offered little relief. Out of frustration and desperation she found chiropractic care, and it changed everything.
That experience did not just give her her life back. It gave her a calling.
Rather than pursuing a traditional veterinary path, Dr. Katie found a way to combine her love of animals with the care that had helped her most. She earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Parker University, graduating as salutatorian of the Animal Chiropractic Program. She has spent the last 8 years doing for dogs and horses what chiropractic once did for her.
When your animal is struggling, Dr. Katie understands that feeling personally. And she has dedicated her career to making sure they do not have to suffer
1. The best animal chiropractors listen.
You may already know what it feels like to work with a provider who is not really listening. It is frustrating for you. And your animal cannot advocate for themselves at all.
The best animal chiropractors take time to hear your observations before they ever touch your animal. You know your dog or horse better than anyone. A practitioner who dismisses what you have noticed or rushes through the intake process is not the right fit. If you feel unheard at your first visit, trust that instinct.
2. The best animal chiropractors work with your entire care team.
Your animal does not exist in a vacuum. The best animal chiropractors understand that and work collaboratively with the animal care team rather than in isolation.
In Texas, veterinary authorization is required before an animal chiropractor can begin care. Rather than treating that as a bureaucratic hurdle, the best practitioners embrace it as an opportunity to coordinate with your vet and make sure your animal is receiving fully integrated care from every member of their health team.
3. The best animal chiropractors know their limits.
Animal chiropractic is a powerful tool, but it is not the answer to every problem. The best practitioners are honest about what chiropractic can and cannot do for your animal, and they are willing to refer you to another provider when that is the right call.
It is a warning sign if an animal chiropractor claims they can help every animal with every condition. The best ones will tell you when chiropractic is not the right fit and point you toward someone who can help, because the animal's wellbeing always comes first.

"Chasing Balls And Bubbles Like A Puppy"
Our 11-year-old dog has hip dysplasia, and we were willing to try anything to keep her comfortable. That’s when we found Dr. Lackey. She is incredibly kind and gentle with Maggie, and thanks to her care, Maggie is running and jumping again—chasing balls and bubbles like a puppy.
She’s clearly in much less pain since starting treatment. If you’re looking for a great chiropractor, look no further than In Stride Chiropractic.

"Thanks For All You Have Done"
Dr. Lackey has been treating my horse routinely for the last couple months. During my ground work and dressage my horse was having a difficult time flexing at the poll. I have seen significant benefit not only on the flat, but in our jumping too.
Our show jumping looks way more effortless and she seems to have relief in her back now too. She can really get her legs under her and isn’t jumping so flat. Thanks for all you have done, Dr. Lackey!!

"Couldn't Be Happier With The Care"
We’ve been taking our dog Jack to In Stride and couldn’t be happier with the care he’s received. When we first started going, Jack was having pain just walking, but now he’s doing so much better — even asking to go on walks again! Dr. Lackey is amazing with him.
She takes her time, clearly loves dogs, and really knows her stuff. She’ll even get down on the floor with Jack to help him feel comfortable and relaxed during his session. She also gives us clear, simple exercises to do at home and uses a variety of innovative treatments in the office. We’re so grateful for the difference she’s made — highly recommend In Stride to anyone who loves their dog!
